Ingredients
1¾cupsheavy cream
1 ⅜cupshalf and half
½cuporganic cane sugaror other white sugar
¼cuppure maple syrup
½cuproasted or roasted and salted pistachios, finely chopped or coarsely ground
¼teaspoonsalt (omit if using salted pistachios)
⅛cuppistachios, roasted or roasted and salted, finely chopped to top the ice cream
Instructions
In a large bowl, stir together the sugar, maple syrup, cream, milk, salt (if using unsalted pistachios), and ground pistachios. Refrigerate for 2-4 hours before processing according to ice cream maker's instructions for processing. Enjoy immediately or spoon into a container and freeze for 1-2 hours for a firmer texture.
