Cookies and Cream Ice Cream takes me back! Although you can often find this one made gluten-free and dairy free, it’s not often you find it made with real cream and milk. Homemade is so good, and why not enjoy the dairy if you can?
Serve up some easily made Cookies and Cream Ice Cream made Gluten Free
Now, with this new recipe, you can make Cookies and Cream Ice Cream (Gluten Free) and completely delicious! Plus, it’s an easy recipe for homemade ice cream. With absolutely no cooking involved! Just stir together the ingredients except the chopped cookies, then refrigerate for 3-4 hours or overnight. Process in an ice cream maker, adding the cookies the last five minutes or so, for the creamiest texture. You could also just freeze in an airtight shallow container for 5-6 hours, after adding the cookies. Stir the ice cream every hour. This method however, will not yield the same texture as when processed in an ice cream maker.
What is your favorite flavor??
For variety, you can use any kind of flavor or add any chopped candy to this. The flavors are endless! Chocolate fudge, mint cookie, espresso bean cookie, peanut butter and chocolate cookie.
Or, how about experimenting to find your favorite flavor.
Speaking of ice cream flavors, what’s your favorite flavor? I have to say some of my favorites are those that have a coffee flavor in them. But I do like so many kinds of ice cream: from fruity flavors, to the classics like vanilla and chocolate, to mint chip.
I honestly had forgotten about Cookies and Cream Ice Cream! Yet, it’s such a great flavor to make and adults and kids alike adore it. We didn’t have any trouble finishing off the last batch!
I’ve loved Trader Joe’s Gluten Free Joe-Joe’s Chocolate Vanilla Creme Sandwich Cookies for so long now, so making this ice cream with them seems pretty perfect.
